Hello, and welcome back to Molly's Muse! This past weekend, I somewhat begrudgingly made the trip back to Minnesota from Palm Beach (just in time to watch another epic Super Bowl with Tom Brady). I made the mistake of looking at the weather forecast before I left...so my jaw dropped when I saw the polar vortex making its way through the Great North. Brr! But, I'm always happy at home and have been a bit productive...I'm excited for some new things to be coming into my Minnetucket Shop soon. Watch out!
Since I've been spending a majority of my time in Palm Beach this winter, I decided it's time to write a new Food and Restaurant Guide...just in time for Valentine's weekend. There are some hot new spots on the scene since I last wrote about this charming town that I'm really excited to share with you. Of course, I have done my research and visited them all myself to get the "real insider knowledge". If you're planning on heading that way soon, I recommend making your reservations well ahead of time. Enjoy and bon appetit!
Trevini
After bopping around town a bit, Trevini has landed in this gorgeous location right on Sunset Avenue. Trevini has quickly made it's way into my top 3 this season for dinner.
Their outdoor patio is so romantic and perfect for dinner--the fire lamps will warm you up as you enjoy a delicious glass of vino. The food is spectacular. The menu is filled with classics, you'll have a hard time choosing what to have. Last time I ordered the chicken paillard and it was excellent. Call for a reservation!
Le Bilboquet
There's a brand NEW spot on Worth Avenue, and it's not serving retail therapy. However, it's a great spot to hit in-between shopping or for a nice little date night. Le Bilboquet has opened a new location (I have been to the Sag Harbor restaurant and was really excited to hear they were coming to Palm Beach).
It's tucked away down a corridor, so it feels like you've just found a secret restaurant. I ordered the tuna tartare (delicious) but recall having their classic cajun chicken entree and loved it. Call or go on Resy for a table.
La Goulue
If you're looking for authentic French dining (like... you want to feel like you're on a romantic date in Paris) then you need to pay a visit to La Goulue.
Wine, escargot, and a nice thick filet are awaiting you in this rich Parisian cafe. They've just added outdoor dining, too. Located at South County and Royal Palm Way. Call or hop on OpenTable for a date night reservation.
Swifty's Pool
Whenever someone asks me for a "fun and hip" place to have dinner in Palm Beach, I direct them towards The Colony hotel's newest addition: Swifty's POOL.
The hotel did an outstanding job at turning their pool area into a small oasis filled with string lights, chandeliers, and foliage all around you. There is live music and also a charming little bar with a few stools if you're up for more casual dining.
I have been ordering the roasted hen on repeat...yum! Call or head over to OpenTable to make a reservation.
Cafe L'europe
This restaurant is a Palm Beach classic that just got a major renovation just in time to open for the season. Cafe L'europe (la-rope) now has a great bar for dining as well as a chic lounge area that's also fun to hang out in.
The live piano music makes for a lively, classy evening. Tried and true, this restaurant will always be one of my favorites. Make sure to try the dover sole and one of their scrumptious soufflés for dessert (grand marnier is outstanding). Call to make a reservation (you can reserve bar seats as well).
Thanks for tagging along with me in Palm Beach, I hope you've enjoyed my tips. If you have any questions about anything Palm Beach related, don't hesitate to ask. Have a great rest of the week and stay warm!
-Molly
