Molly's Muse No. 15: All About V-Day

Hello and happy Friday! I'd like to start off as I reflect on the past week: the new Lake Minnetonka Magazine rolled out and I cannot believe they put me and my blog on the cover. I am completely flattered and grateful to this amazing community I've been able to live in and call home to these past years. Because of you and all the amazing people I've met through my blog, I've become so fulfilled and just so honored to be apart of this. Thank YOU!

Moving on, I've been dreaming of what to curate for my Valentine's post. I've decided to break down this lovely holiday into sections, because there are many unique ways to show love on this day.

Whether you are spending the day loving yourself, a furry friend, friends, family, or a significant other--some of my ideas may just win you over. Here's my take on how to celebrate the holiday of red-hearted romance...enjoy!

Make Something Sweet

My go-to for making something sweet is always Sally's Baking Addiction. Sally has amazing recipes that are not only delicious, but always look so cute! These heart-shaped Pink Party Donuts look perfect for Valentine's Day. And no one is judging if you just make them for yourself :) Here's a heart-shaped pan in case you don't have one...I love this recipe because the donuts are baked instead of fried!

Sweet, Sweet Eye Candy

I discovered this jewelry brand while I was visiting Charleston this summer, and quickly fell in love. Julie Vos has a great Valentine's Gift Guide on their website with some really great picks. I love that their jewelry is easily worn together--I will mix and match various collections with each other. And, the price points are fantastic.

Plan An At-Home Spa Day

I was recently searching for massage therapists near me, and stumbled across this gem: Zeel. Zeel offers certified massage therapists that come to your home, office, etc. They're all over the country. It's really easy to set-up your account, and super convenient. Who doesn't want to get a massage and continue on a day of relaxation in the comfort of your own home?

DIY Flower Box

Why spend $400+ for that trendy flower box when you can easily make your own for a fraction of the price? I found a great DIY on Dainty Dress Diaries that you can follow along with. Her boxes turned out great!

Personalized Gift Baskets

I'm obsessed with these adorable gift baskets from Etsy! Perfect for a little one in your life--the wooden tags can be customized, too. Too cute :) PS- this company makes these baskets for a variety of holidays.

Homemade Dinner for 1, 2, or 4

Need Valentie's Dinner inspiration? My muse, Martha Stewart, has you covered. The Valentine's Menus she gathered here are lightly themed and fun. Traveling to Paris might be a Valentine's dream, but France might be within reach when you whip up the right selection of dishes. Bon appetit!

I hope you enjoyed some of these ideas--Valentine's is still 2 weeks away, so you have plenty of time to plan! Have a great weekend--I'll be trying to soak up some sunshine in Palm Beach during my mini winter escape. I hope you can follow along with me here!
